I went to see Dr Lo Monaco after having an unsatisfactory appointment with a different cardiologist, I cannot recommend Dr Lo Monaco enough, his attention to detail was unparalleled and he took the time to go into my history and ensure that he had every detail of my health covered, he was very very pleasant, calm, reassuring and made sure I had a comprehensive and detailed picture of my heart health, I cannot stress enough that no matter how unsure you are about your heart health, this is definitely the place to go, it was comforting to know that any worries I had, no matter how slight or great, they were all met with the same high level of attention, I feel so much more relaxed about my heart health after my appointments with Dr Lo Monaco, he is an absolute gentleman and a shining example of what the medical profession should be

HOW IS A CAROTID SCAN PERFORMED?

The Carotid Doppler USG is a completely safe and painless test that uses high-frequency sound waves to examine blood flow through the Carotid arteries. The sonographer applies a small amount of gel to the ultrasound probe and gently moves the probe across the neck to capture detailed images. The device records the ultrasound signals and produces clear visuals of the arteries and any blood-flow abnormalities in real time.
